D. C. White the Buffalo Soldier Headlines Sigma Gamma Rho Heritage Program

BRANDON, Miss. - April 11, 2013 - PRLog -- On Saturday, April 13, 2013 Sigma Gamma Rho will host a Heritage Program at V.A.Hospital on Woodrow Wilson in Jackson, MS. Headlining the event will be D. C. White, the Buffalo Soldier, performing a tribute for the troops.

"It's an honor to be a part of this special event," says White, who uses the power of music to not just entertain but educate, infusing history and current events into his performances. During Black History Month this year he performed several shows at the Smith Robertson Museum in Jackson, MS. "I'm looking forward to not only doing something for the troops but also the public that will be in attendance as well."

The Heritage Program will also feature performances by the Hanging Moss Church of Christ Chorus as well as JSU's MADDRAMA. The program begins at 4p.m. and is free and open to the public.
