Rumberger's Brian Hayden Appointed to Leon County Citizen's Board

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - April 11, 2013 - PRLog -- Brian Hayden, a civil litigation attorney with Rumberger, Kirk & Caldwell in Tallahassee, has been appointed to the Leon County Development Support & Environmental Management Citizens User Group. The 14-member panel provides the Board of County Commissioners recommendations regarding proposed ordinances that impact growth management and other issues relating to current planning, development review, and environmental compliance as requested by the Board and staff.
Hayden has experience handling general commercial litigation and labor and employment matters in both state and federal courts. He also practices in the fields of local government law and land use. In addition, Hayden has represented clients before the Florida Commission on Ethics and the Florida Division of Administrative Hearings.

Before joining Rumberger, Kirk & Caldwell, Hayden worked as an Honors Attorney and Assistant Attorney General for the State of Florida. He handled a broad range of general civil litigation matters, including the defense of a class action lawsuit that sought institutional reform of Florida’s Medicaid program.

Hayden earned a juris doctor, with honors, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. He earned his undergraduate degree in philosophy from Yale University.
