Destiny Road Film Premiere in Atlanta

April 11, 2013 - PRLog -- Smyrna GA resident, Zoe Myers, will be hosting the U.S. premiere of the feature film, “Destiny Road,” on Thursday, April 18th at the Landmark Arts Cinema in Atlanta.

“Destiny Road” is an unapologetic faith-based film about three lives that are forever changed--and this film was a turning point in Myers’ own life.

Myers says, “It's just a low budget film, filled with a lot of passion and love. It's not a film that's going to break the box office or bring fame and fortune to anyone involved. But it was a life changing experience for me in that I realized just how much I missed certain things-- like guys who open doors, plain ol’ good manners and southern hospitality!”   In fact, the experience inspired Myers to move back to the Peach State where she now lives in Smyrna.  Myers says, “I think this film does have the power to change the lives of others. It's had a huge impact in South America and I hope that it will have a similar success in the U.S.”  According to the film’s producer, Mike Davis, “Destiny Road” has already had a six-week run in Brazil and it beat “007 Skyfall” in average attendance.

Myers stars in the film along with Daniel Zacapa (The River, The Sandlot), Daniel Samonas (Wizards of Waverly Place, Entourage, Hannah Montana) and Traci Dinwiddie (Supernatural, The Notebook).  Myers has been busy since returning to her home state, shooting no less than eight (8) feature films, including the starring role in the horror film “Perdition” and a lead role in “A Long Way Off” with “October Baby” star Jason Burkey.  When asked about her most recent projects, Myers says, “I just filmed a small role in the Burt Reynolds’ feature ‘Hamlet and Hutch’ that shot in Marietta.  Right before that, I shot a small speaking role in a huge film with tons of stars, but everyone had to sign non-disclosure agreements until the studio puts it out to the public!  But I can already tell you that 2013 is going to be a very good year!”

“Destiny Road” was also the inspiration for Myers’ last song/music video "Destiny Knows My Name" which shot around Lake Weiss in Alabama.  The song is included on the soundtrack for the film and is featured in the closing credits.

The movie is based on the Book "Three Lives one Destiny" by R.R. Soares and is produced by G Films/ Uptone Pictures.

The premiere is free and open to the public, but seating is limited.  Red Carpet arrivals are at 7:00 p.m..  To reserve seats, check out the event on Facebook, listed as “Destiny Road Premiere.”
