Follow on Google News | Secrets of a Kept Woman Returns to the Historic Liberty TheaterPresenting a Powerful Depiction of Friendship, Love, and True to Life Relationships
While Secrets of a Kept Woman is unsettling at times, comedic at others, and very dramatically performed, it shows in a lighthearted way that life is full of laugh-out-loud moments, nourishment for the soul, and most importantly, opportunities to heal. As theatergoers become acquainted with Shayla, Gladys, and Rhonda, they will uncover how three women who are best of friends really do not know each other at all. “It is my hope that the play will help women take a hard look at their relationships and unveil past and present hurts," says Shani Greene-Dowdell. "Secrets of a Kept Woman explores what happens when the lines between friendship and betrayal are crossed, and what consequences befall the parties involved,” wrote Naiomi Shuemate of Shue Fit and Conditioning. This stage play, while full of hilarious moments, touches issues that women go through. It will be hard not to talk out loud as you watch three women take their first steps to being virtuous and free. THE DRAMATIC STAGE PLAY STARS Tralice Ware, Kim Patrick, Keke Walker, Min. Dr. Nettie Echols, Willie Lewis, Tron Heard, Doricho Payne, Keon McIntosh, Latoya Hayes, and featuring Johnny Taylor of Columbus, GA.
