“We look forward to working closely with the AACVB to grow the brand and excitement of the only international karaoke competition year after year,” said KWCUSA Pres. Wendell Payne.
Top karaoke singers throughout Illinois will compete in the state competition held at Timber Creek Inn & Suites Convention and Events Center and winners advance to regionals. Payne and KWCUSA Illinois State Director Russell Little are looking for KJs, venues and singers that are interested in participating in local competitions that will lead up to this state championship.
A preferred partnership is being cultivated between the AACVB and KWCUSA to offer more local and regional competitions throughout the Aurora Area. Joseph McCorvey, sales representative for the AACVB, solicits and responds to group travel leads in an effort to promote all that the Aurora Area has to offer.
“This competition is exactly the kind of business our partners are looking for,” said McCorvey. “It allows us to showcasethe things to do, places to stay, and value proposition. We are positive the contestants and guests of the competition will enjoy the facility, service and value that Sandwich and Timber Creek offer.”
In 2012, two contestants from the United States traveled to Finland to compete for the world title. Interested KJs can contact Little at firstname.lastname@example.org www.kwcusa.net or 866.610.7464. Singers can register at http://www.kwcusa.net/
