PRLog -- Kate Parkhurst set out to write
The Invasion of the Cavity Creatures as a result of her teaching experiences with first graders who “claimed” to have brushed their teeth but would greet her at her classroom door with foul breath. Set in Tongue Town, amidst the Molar Mountains, Brushers who brush, Flossers that floss, and Pickers who pick work all day, every day. Yet, just on the edge of town lurk the dreaded Cavity Creatures the townsfolk try to keep at bay. Since everyone else is working, a young Brusher, Bobby, believes it’s too nice out and takes the day off to play in the Bubble Gum Toothpaste River. Others soon see how nice it is and decide to join him! After all, what harm can taking one day off do? Dentists nationwide have hailed this book and it’s illustrations as incredibly interactive for children. "A wonderfully creative dental adventure story great for children of all ages! This entertaining book stresses the importance of good oral hygiene to kids in a fun and exciting way. A must-read, especially for those lacking motivation to brush and floss!" -Katherine Galm, DDS Additional information on the book, establishing the Kickstarter campaign, and author interviews can be obtained via email,
