ACP Composites Welcomes David Smith as Director of Quality

LIVERMORE, Calif. - April 9, 2013 - PRLog -- LIVERMORE, CA March, 2013– ACP Composites, Inc., a leading manufacturer of high quality composite solutions, announces the appointment of David Smith as its Director of Quality.  Smith has over 30 years experience in the field of quality and is a senior member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ). Smith had been working closely with ACP Composites as a quality consultant for the last year before becoming a full time team member in early March.
“As an independent consultant, Smith proved ready to implement, execute and maintain the quality programs required for ISO9001:2008 and AS9100 certification,” notes Justin Sparr, Executive Vice President. With a proven track record in implementation of Quality Management systems, ISO 9001 support programs, product regulatory programs and quality improvement processes, Smith’s addition to ACP Composites will prove instrumental in obtaining ISO9001:2008 and AS9100 certification.

Smith’s responsibilities at ACP Composites include overseeing the implementation of ISO9001:2008 and AS9100 Certification process under the Corporate Quality umbrella for Advanced Composite Plastics. With focus on the Aerospace and Medical industries, Smith will implement a full Quality Management System infrastructure which will include all product quality processes, inspections, documentation, clean room certifications, and training, as well as directing supplier, distributor, and internal audits.
