MENTOR, Ohio - April 9, 2013 - PRLog -- SMART Recovery will be hosting an informative webinar featuring Donald Meichenbaum, Ph.D. and Julie Myers, Psy.D. discussing how checklists, such as the SMART Recovery Activities Scale (SRAS), can be used by participants, facilitators, and professionals to help guide and assess the recovery process. Dr. Meichenbaum, one of the founders of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), will be sharing with the audience his extensive knowledge and experience with checklists in both self-help and therapy settings.

The event will be hosted on Friday, May 10, 2013, at 5:00 pm EDT in SMART's GoToWebinar room. To register, visit:https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/5164518615075620096.

Created specifically for the SMART Recovery community, SMART has found the SRAS to be helpful and grounding for participants and facilitators. The response since its introduction to the SMART community has been highly positive. Discussion on this practical, effective tool will no doubt be helpful to a wide audience. The SRAS has been newly updated and is available on the SMART website http://www.smartrecovery.org/resources/library/Tools_and_Homework/Quick_Reference/SRAS_for_participants_fillable.pdf.  This webinar will be of tremendous value to all involved with or interested in the recovery community.
