Follow on Google News | Attorney Leslie S. Robinson Invited to Join Top 100 Trial LawyersThe National Trial Lawyers has selected the accomplished Greenville, North Carolina criminal defense lawyer for membership in the exclusive group due to his demonstration of professional excellence.
Membership is only extended to trial lawyers who have demonstrated top-tier leadership, qualifications and trial results within their major geographic areas or their states. A few of the other areas that are also considered include the lawyers’ influence and reputation. By being asked to join the invitation-only organization, Mr. Robinson has distinguished himself as a leading criminal defense lawyer among his professional peers. This is an honor that not every attorney in North Carolina gets to experience. The National Trial Lawyers selects its Top 100 Trial Lawyers membership candidates by using a multi-phase process that implements both peer nominations and third-party research. In addition to providing the Top 100 Trial Lawyers designations, the national organization also provides lawyers with advocacy training, educational programs and networking opportunities. Besides being invited to join the Top 100 Trial Lawyers, Mr. Robinson has also made many other important accomplishments throughout his career. Since Mr. Robinson entered private practice in 1986, he has tried more than 2,500 bench and jury trials. He has successfully defended clients in trial courts and appellate courts, and he has been invited to present oral arguments in criminal cases in the North Carolina Court of Appeals and the North Carolina Supreme Court. Others in the legal community have recognized Mr. Robinson for his leadership abilities, as he has been elected on multiple occasions to leadership positions in various bar associations (from the local to state level). Currently, he is Chair of the Criminal Justice Section for the North Carolina Advocates for Justice. He also served as the Bar Councilor representative (an elected position) to the North Carolina State Bar for nine years. Mr. Robinson is active in serving as a continuing legal education (CLE) speaker. Mr. Robinson received his law degree from Campbell University School of Law after graduating from East Carolina University. During his time in law school, he served in a staff position on the Campbell Law Review—an opportunity that is only given to students who are in the top 5% of their class.
