Mark Dougan of MD International Holdings meets with Russian Secretary Pavel Borodin
MD International Holdings Chief Executive Officer Mark Dougan traveled to Moscow in the Russian Federation to meet with the Russian Secretary of State, Pavel Borodin, to discuss business and charity projects.
The meeting was to establish cooperation in various aspects of business, including facilitating American investments into the robust Russian business environment and to engage into markets that would be considered "frontier" to Russia. Establishing a way to provide philanthropic help to many of the charities located in Russia was also discussed. Secretary Borodin is an avid supporter of charities, specifically to the children in orphanages, as well as having five adopted children of his own.
The meeting and translation was coordinated by Anna Guschina, the Chief Executive Officer of the AT Bridge Group (http://www.atbridgegroup.com)
The initial meeting was located in Moscow’s premiere steakhouse, “the Bison.” Secretary Borodin presented Mr. Dougan with a very beautiful and very limited leather and gold book about the history of the Kremlin, as well as signing the book under his chapter in the book.
Mark Dougan plans on traveling back to Moscow for additional discussions in June of 2013 and is currently looking for companies that are interested in moving a segment of their business to the Russian marketplace, where corporate profit taxes are a scant 20% and Russian income taxes are an incredibly low, flat 13%.
Mark Dougan stated, "It is our goal to bring new and existing ventures to Russia so they may benefit from Russia's friendly business environment."
