Chicago consultant writes, The Darker Side of Evil, debunking the myth that all serial are White

CHICAGO - April 7, 2013 - PRLog -- Chicago, IL- Andre N. Turner, a consultant from the South side of Chicago has published his first book. The Darker Side of Evil, takes a look at society’s belief that somehow White males corner the market in the area of serial murder.

“Americans on a whole have a general belief that there were very few if any African-American serial killers,” Andre said in a recent interview; he went on to say, ”I was astonished at how many Black serial killers there actually were.” Andre admitted to the interviewer that the idea for the book came by accident. “I was watching Investigation Discovery and noticed that most of the killers highlighted were White, from that point I explored and found over 200 post WWII Black serial murderers. I then wondered why these murders and murderers were not reported in the news.”

The book also examines the media’s unwillingness to acknowledge the existence of these predators. “When you allow something to go on without reporting it, that means you condone it,” Andre said. “Many innocent lives may have been lost due to the media’s lackadaisical attitude toward the crimes of depravity committed by these men.”

The book is a good read for true crime buffs as it not only reports the crimes of these 10 men. The book takes a brief walk through history and gives insight how the phenomenon concerning the serial murderer got started. The reader will also be astounded to read the logic expressed by media outlets concerning the lack of information provided to the public concerning these cases.
