Pete Dye will also conduct a book signing of his newly updated "Bury Me in a Pot Bunker."
By: PGA of America In celebration of The PGA of America’s 97th Anniversary the very same day, the Dyes will take part in a fireside chat on Wed., April 10, from 5:30 p.m.-7 p.m., in the PGA Education Center, located at I-95, Exit #121 (St. Lucie West Blvd.). They will be showcased in the Speaker Series’ popular format, which has previously featured the likes of Dow Finsterwald, Bob Toski, Michelle McGann, Walker Inman Jr., Dennis Walters and Errie Ball. The event is open to the public with complimentary admission. Immediately following, Pete Dye will conduct a book signing of his newly updated "Bury Me in a Pot Bunker." A member of the World Golf Hall of Fame and the 2004 PGA Distinguished Service Award winner, Pete Dye is the namesake designer of the Dye Course at PGA Golf Club. He has also created the likes of PGA West, Crooked Stick, Harbour Town Golf Links, Oak Tree Country Club, Trump National and Casa de Campo. Considered one of the finest golf architects ever, he is renowned for his trademark innovations that include signature railroad ties and links-style pot bunkers that define many of his courses. As well, Dye is credited with bringing back short- and medium-length Par 4s to the game of golf. Alice Dye was the 2004 PGA First Lady of Golf and the first woman ever to serve as an Independent Director of The PGA.
