Strong 2013 Start for Team Half Fast with New & Returning Sponsors

Chip Sutinen, Team Half Fast’s rider, qualified in all three fields (E, PE, SE) of The American Motorcycle Racing Association’s Cajun Blowout Nitro Nationals at State Capitol Raceway in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, March 23-24, 2013.  He went on to runner-up in “E” class after a long-fought battle of the weather-induced limitations of having the entire show – qualifying and racing – jam-packed into one day.

“We’re very excited to have a full line-up of sponsorship this season, and with all of our sponsors’ help, we are going to be sporting a new look this season – both the bike and the rider – and we’ll be safer, too,” says Chip Sutinen, racer for Team Half Fast Drag Bike Racing.  “Having Discount Tire on board – literally – will help our road trips be smoother, safer, and even more economical for better mileage to get us to and from the tracks.”

“Vega is our official gear sponsor this year for some safety equipment for me.  We have systematically gone through and changed quite a few things on the bike with the help of CCW, Pingel, PBI, Goodson, Accel, DEI, Lee Warren of Warren Family Racing, and Nate Thompson of Super V Cycles,” continues Sutinen.  “We will be having different graphics on the bike as well, but they won’t be revealed until after the first race.   With all the upgrades and changes to the bike, we’re anticipating becoming even more competitive in the classes we run, and we’re energized after our runner-up finish in Baton Rouge.”

In 2012, Sutinen finished fifth in E (Eliminator) class, sixth in the PE (10.90) class, and seventh in the SE (11.50) class in the AMRA (American Motorcycle Racing Association), as well as ninth in the SEP (11.50) class in the AHDRA (All Harley Drag Racing Association).
