Shiloh Beck is a courageous young ninth grader currently battling Diffuse Large B-cell Lymphoma, a cancer of B cells responsible for producing antibodies. Diagnosed at 13-years-old, Shiloh underwent six months of extensive chemotherapy, and went into remission for 19 months. On January 27, 2013, Shiloh’s 15th birthday, the doctors found out that the Lymphoma had returned. He is currently undergoing another five rounds of chemotherapy at The Miami Children's Hospital.

“Shiloh contacted me asking if I knew any DJ's that would give him a few pointers, because he DJ’s or the kids at Miami Children's Hospital for fun while he's getting his treatment.” said Angela Salter, co-organizer of the event along with Shiloh's mentor, Dino De Cesare. “After speaking with his mother, I posted his story on Facebook to some friends in the music industry and within 8 hours people began to contact me from across the nation. The positive support from the local community and the music industry has been incredible!”

Shiloh has a dream and a strong passion to be a DJ and with the help of social media and many generous friends and DJ's from across the country, he is living that dream today. DJ’s have come together to help this strong young man, from providing lessons and equipment, to a scholarship at the DJ Scratch Academy in Miami.  Currently, Shiloh is getting lessons once a week with DJ Immortal and DJ Smiley Mia, emcee of “Spinning for Shiloh” and concert DJ for the Black Eyed Peas. Shiloh has been a guest on the DJ Laz Morning show and wepa.fm, had the opportunity to DJ in South Beach for the Winter Music Conference, and spent a night with DJ Irie at a Miami Heat game.
