After traveling to Punta Cana for the last 10 years and trying numerous resorts we agreed in 2011 when we discovered this one to look no further....

This is the third year in a row my husband and I have spent 2 weeks at this resort so we feel after 6 weeks of vacationing here at the EPC we are fairly knowledgeable on the resort itself and its incredible staff. After traveling to Punta Cana for the last 10 years and trying numerous resorts we agreed in 2011 when we discovered this one to look no further....
We consider ourselves 'foodies'...love to cook and also love to dine out frequently so the quality of the food at a resort must be top notch.We don't want to be spending 2 weeks dreading our next meal!!!! EPC has never disappointed. Spending 6 weeks here we have dined in all the restaurants, each offering something unique to their specialty. The breakfast buffet is out of this world as well...where can you enjoy a custom made omelette and sip on a mimosa while enjoying the sounds of the accomplished gentleman playing the grand piano???? I will not critique each an every restaurant but believe me when I say that they are beautifully decorated, staffed with an eager, polite and impeccably groomed and schooled wait staff and managed likewise. We met the managers in all the restaurants and they work just as hard as their staff, cleaning tables and making sure we were happy.

Our family has all worked in the service industry at one time or another here in Canada and we so often mention that the work ethic of the Dominican people outshines many of us here. That being said it REALLY upsets me when I see a rude guest(and it happens every time we are there) berating a bartender or server for some ridiculous complaint. There were a few times that I was actually embarrassed by the behaviour of a North American guest...you would not act like that at an establishment at home so why do you feel the need to at a resort?????
There is plenty of high end liquor to be had...we never went thirsty! Made a delicious Kir Royale!The beach is gorgeous, the pools fabulous and the rooms just right...cleaned twice a day...no need to embellish on these topics.

I will finish with the most important aspect of the resort and that is the staff....
Again.hands down, the BEST in Punta Cana. They are a credit to their manager Oriol Alberch. He is a smart man to surround himself with the most competent staff...
Pauline and all the gentlemen at the front desk are A-One. Linda Bauer is a gem and very proficient at her Chief Consierge position....so accomodating. We were lucky enough to meet Carlos the new Executive Chef and he was so interested in what we we liked and disliked in any of the restaurants....he has many new ideas he will soon be implementing. Magaly,Jady,Roxanna ,Gabriella,Frank,Adan, Victor...along with numerous others we consider them our friends and look forward to seeing them again in 2014 to catch up with their news.
In closing, no review would be complete without mentioning Roberto Puello(Guest Services Manager) and his protege Yanilka. This man cannot do enough for you, he is passionate about his job and more importantly is a kind and lovely man. I have never met such a dedicated employee who goes out of his way daily to make sure you have everything you need.He has taught Yanilka well as she is a smart and focussed young woman that is also a credit to Oriol and his management team.
Even though my tan is fading the memories aren't. Thank you EPC for another relaxing 2 weeks and we will see you again for sure in February 2014.....Adios!
Stayed March 2013, traveled as a couple
