USO Fort Campbell Receives RenovationsAFFF/Taco Bell donation benefits local military families utilizing USO Fort Campbell
The Armed Forces Families Foundation has donated over $6,000 to the center serving military families. Funds for the donation were raised in local Taco Bell restaurants during their annual fundraiser in an effort to help serve those who serve us. To initiate the improvements and thank all those involved, a ribbon cutting ceremony was held on Tuesday, March 26th at 11:00 am at the USO Fort Campbell Center. Taco Bell provided new Cool Ranch Tacos for all attendees at the feel-good event. While the center is still fairly new, it has been heavily trafficked! Thousands of service men and women along with their families utilize center facilities daily in addition to the many events held on-site including fundraisers, family-friendly events, and training courses. With such heavy-use, the USO was in great need of furniture replacement in addition to more furniture, heavy-duty carpet, and baby changing tables which have all been provided by the Foundation. Additionally, the contribution included improved video conferencing technology and privacy coverings for necessary closed door meetings. Both the Armed Forces Families Foundation and Taco Bell are proud to support the new efforts to improve the USO Fort Campbell. “Our troops’ loved ones are their first line of support. Taco Bell is proud to support our troops by supporting their families,” said Thaddeus Foster, Chief Operations Officer and Taco Bell franchisee for Southeast QSR Inc. The Armed Forces Families Foundation (AFFF), in conjunction with participating Taco Bell restaurants, has completed numerous projects for military and their families all across the Southeast. Their most recent Fundraiser in December led them over the ONE MILLION DOLLAR MARK! 100% of every dollar donated goes toward projects to help those who protect us.
