Flamingo Vintage presents The Vintage Pop-Up Shop

Los Angeles, California, April 1, 2013 – Bringing a fresh, glamorous fashion vision to the vintage scene, local artist and fashionista Candice Molayem will debut Flamingo Vintage with a three week long pop-up shop, April 20-May 11, 2013, at the Rebecca Molayem Gallery, 8304 West 3rd Street, in LA.

Flamingo Vintage is a lifestyle-based boutique that will envelop you in the splendor of bygone eras. The boutique’s inventory, curated by Candice, reflects her love for unparalleled craftsmanship and high quality vintage. It features a collection of superb vintage pieces in a wide selection of sizes – all in good to excellent condition, and ready to wear.  Flamingo Vintage will appeal to vintage collectors, designers, stylists and fashion enthusiasts alike.

The pop-up shop, designed as an art installation in itself, is not overstuffed with merchandise. Instead each piece is very carefully selected and tastefully displayed as an art piece, paying homage to the era it was created in.

Flamingo Vintage features handpicked designer clothing and unique accessories from the 1940s to the 1980s.  Collections include a variety of vintage dresses, shoes, lingerie, eyewear, handbags, hats and gloves for ladies, plus men’s vintage clothing and a large collection of vintage ties.

Dresses make up most of the unique collection: vintage cocktail dresses, party dresses, glamorous evening gowns, spring day dresses, funky evening wear, many beaded pieces and designer dresses from the 1940s-1980s.  The majority of the vintage shoe collection is from the 1960s-1980s and most have never been worn. And there are plenty of platforms and stilettos for stepping out in chic style.

Flamingo Vintage boutique also offers a fine selection of vintage blouses and skirts and some beautiful Emilio Pucci pieces. Handbags include a wide selection of vintage woven purses from the 50s-60s and some gorgeous evening handbags.  Vintage lingerie collection features a selection of alluring full and half-slips, bloomers, bras, girdles and bustier tops.

Men will revel in a wide selection of fantastic vintage ties from the 40s-70s available in all widths. Vintage men’s clothing includes finely crafted casual button down shirts, dress shirts and slacks.  Besides its vintage merchandise, Flamingo Vintage will have a selection of fun, whimsical original paintings on display, some available for purchase.
