Key Hyundai at 2013 Hyundai Hope on Wheels at NY Auto Show

MILFORD, Conn. - April 4, 2013 - PRLog -- Key Hyundai owner Jeff Merriam, and Director of Operations Chuck Dortenzio were proud participants at the 2013 Official Launch of the Hyundai Hope On Wheels (http://www.hyundaihopeonwheels.org/) program at the New York International Auto Show.  

Now in its 15th year, Hyundai Hope on Wheels announced the first 2013 Hyundai Scholar Award presented $75,000 to Hope & Heroes Children’s Cancer, NYC, with the signature Hyundai Handprint Ceremony at the New York Autoshow. This is the first of approximately 80 awards to be presented this year, totaling more than $14.0 million.

This year, Hyundai dealers commemorate 15 years in the fight against pediatric cancer, started back in 1998, with a local group of New England area Hyundai dealers. For 2013, Hyundai announced the goal to surpass $72 million in funding for research, since the program’s inception, making Hyundai one of the leading private donors to pediatric cancer research in the U.S.

Last year, Hyundai Hope On Wheels awarded grants to both the Connecticut Children's Medical Center and Yale New Haven Hospital.
