MARSHALL FOUNDATION Names Dottie Carson as Interim Executive Director
 
April 2, 2013 - PRLog -- Arthur R. Marshall Foundation for the Everglades Names Dottie Carson as Interim Executive Director



(Lake Worth, FL – April 2, 2013)  John Marshall, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and President Nancy Marshall of the Arthur R. Marshall Foundation for the Everglades today announced that Dottie Carson has been named Interim Executive Director of the nonprofit organization that champions the restoration and preservation of the historic River of Grass ecosystem.  Ms. Carson succeeds former Executive Director Josette Kaufman, who passed away suddenly last month.

About Dottie Carson:

Highly regarded for her strong leadership, team building, consensus building and motivational skills, Ms. Carson most recently spent more than five years as Director of Development for the Alzheimer’s Association Southeast Florida Chapter. Prior to that, she spent three and a half years as Vice President of Development for Alzheimer’s Community Care for Palm Beach, Martin and St. Lucie Counties.



For more than 20 years, Ms. Carson was owner/operator of The Carson Group, a comprehensive marketing and business development firm from New Orleans to South Florida, where her nonprofit clients included the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Food for the Poor, the Horticultural Society of South Florida and the Monsignor Federico Arguello Foundation for Nicaraguan Causes.



From 2001 to 2009, Ms. Carson was a member of the Marshall Foundation’s Advisory Council. She also serves as Dame Commander of Justice in the Sovereign Order of St. John of Jerusalem Knights Hospitaller, Commandery of the Palm Beaches, and she is a past board member of Operation Hope and Children’s Hope.
