LEYTON, U.K. - April 2, 2013 - PRLog -- This course concentrates more on writing and grammar using a variety of traditional resources and books to explain detailed aspects of English language. The course is for Upper Intermediate level students and not suitable for beginners. Practical exercises such as written tests, listening exercises and interactive role-plays are given as well as routine homework. Students are also taught how to write letters, reports, articles, C.Vs etc. as well as comprehend newspapers, novels, radio/T.V programmes and everyday idiomatic English.

FCE is an intermediate level Cambridge ESOL exam, at level B2 of the Council of Europe's Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

FCE indicates sufficient proficiency in English to be of practical use in clerical, secretarial and managerial jobs in many industries. It enables you to,

Do a foundation course in the English medium or pathway level to a higher course.
Work in an English-speaking environment.
Live independently in an English-speaking country.
Understand complex pieces of writing.
Maintain a conversation on a wide range of topics, expressing opinions and arguments
Write clearly and in detail on a variety of topics and formats.

FCE is also useful if you are working towards higher level exams, such as CAE (Certificate in Advanced English) and CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English).

Cambridge FCE certificate is highly reputable and recognised throughout the world and especially gives the student a competitive advantage in employment, universities and government departments.

There are 5 parts to the exam, each part contributing to 20% of the overall mark:

1 - Reading – tests understanding of a variety of texts e.g. newspaper articles, stories.
2 - Writing – tests the student’s ability to compose 2 forms of writing e.g. letters (formal and informal), reports, reviews, articles and short stories.
3 - Use of English – tests the student’s grasp of a variety of grammar and vocabulary items.
4 - Listening – tests the student’s comprehension of audio materials such as news broadcasts, presentations and everyday dialogues.
5 - Speaking – tests the student’s proficiency in communicating orally in a pair or group discussion.

To help and prepare students for Cambridge FCE exams we have classes at different timings to suite everyone's needs. Our FCE course details are as below,

1 - Week days, Day time, 2 Days, 8 hours a week

Monday and Tuesday: From 10.30am to 2.30pm. (4 hours class including breaks)

Price: 2 Weeks £100, 4 Weeks £195, 6 Weeks £290, 8 Weeks £380.

2 - Week days, Evenings, 4 Days, 8 hours a week

Monday to Thursday: 6pm to 8pm. (2 hours class)

Price: 2 Weeks £100, 4 Weeks £195, 6 Weeks £290, 8 Weeks £380.

3 - Week ends, 2 Days, 8 hours a week

Saturday and Sunday: 10.45am to 2.45pm. (2 hours class)

Price: 2 Weeks £100, 4 Weeks £195, 6 Weeks £290, 8 Weeks £380.
