Commercial Truck Repair Now Available at Progressive Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram

MASSILLON, Ohio - April 2, 2013 - PRLog -- Progressive Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram has recently installed a new heavy duty lift to their Service Department.  This new heavy duty lift, a 30,000 pound lift, is capable of handling heavy duty vehicle repairs and commercial truck repairs on 4500 and 5500 vehicles.  It replaces the previous heavy duty lift which “was only capable of lifting 18,000 pounds, so it’s a big improvement for us,” says Tim Chillik, Service Manager at Progressive Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram.

While most lifts are only rated to lift up to 15-20 thousand pounds, this new lift is able to lift up to double the weight. What that means is Progressive Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram is now able to work on vehicles 4500, 5500 and up.  Rob Emmert, Commercial and Fleet Manager, explains the lifts have two jacks in the middle that elevate “the vehicle off the lift in case we need to do anything with suspension, tires, or anything like that.”  As Tim mentions, “as long as we can fit the vehicle through the door, and it’s not too long, we can now repair it.”  And in case you’re wondering what kind of restrictions that doorway and lift length means, Tim helps you out with that as well.  The door frame measures twelve feet wide by twelve feet tall, while the ramp holds vehicles up to 28 feet long.  

The addition of this new heavy duty lift is a huge benefit to our Commercial and Fleet Department, as well, making it a full service facility for local businesses.  It now allows Progressive Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram to not only sell up to 4500 and 5500 vehicles to consumers, but also makes it possible for them to service all heavy duty, commercial vehicles on site.  This ability to work on a wider range of commercial vehicles, including those larger ones that can’t be serviced just anywhere, allows Progressive Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram to accommodate all fleet vehicles for any local business.
