Boston Start-Up Mom Meet Mom Approaches Boston Launch

BOSTON - April 3, 2013 - PRLog -- Mom Meet Mom co founder, Christa Terry, announced today that the company will begin its nationwide rollout in mid-May, starting with Boston.  As more new and seasoned moms and caretakers strive to find ways to connect with other moms nearby, Mom Meet Mom’s unique geomapping and social matching features make meeting moms who live near each other and have similar outlooks fun and effortless.

“It’s a very exciting time for moms everywhere,” said Terry. “The site will essentially solve a problem that has been in existence forever, namely ‘mommy isolation’. When you become a mom, everything changes and the desire to make connections with other women who are experiencing the thrills and challenges of motherhood suddenly becomes a priority.”

With her career experience in cognitive neuroscience, Mom Meet Mom cofounder Julia High leveraged her background to pilot the site’s intuitive matching system.

“The matching element is very important to us,” said High. “Our aim is to provide quality compatibility, sort of like a dating site but for mom friendships, by using specially chosen criteria to match up local moms with similar interests, schedules, families, concerns, and personalities.”

Once matches are suggested, users can jump right in and schedule playdates, walks, or coffee dates with local moms. They can also choose to take it slow by building friendships right on the site.

As of the upcoming Boston beta launch, immediate access into the social network will be granted to any Boston mom, grandmother, or caretaker. In the meantime, moms in other areas across the nation can grab a spot in line by signing up and encouraging their friends to do the same.
