Park Place Infiniti to hold classic car show benefiting Little Friends Foundation

Event will include free refreshments and rescued pets, including Churchill the Polar Bear

LAS VEGAS - March 28, 2013 - PRLog -- Park Place Infiniti (http://www.parkplaceinfiniti.com) will be holding a classic car show on Saturday, April 6, from noon to 2 p.m., at which visitors can tour classic cars from 1936-1954 and support the Little Friends Foundation (http://littlefriendsfoundation.org/), a local no-kill animal shelter whose motto is “Rescue-Rehabilitate-Rehome.”

Founded in 2011, the Little Friends Foundation is committed to providing a temporary home to rescued animals, finding them permanent homes, and educating the public on pet issues ranging from responsible ownership to breed specific issues, such as medical and behavioral issues.

Guests attending the car show are encouraged to give a nominal donation to benefit the Little Friends Foundation (LFF), which will also have staff on-site providing information and applications for pet adoption.

“Our animals are our passion, and each one is treated as if they were our own personal pets,” said James Williamson of the Little Friends Foundation. “We strive to make these animals feel as if they are in a temporary home rather than a shelter, providing everything from warm beds to training and rehabilitation.”

“We are excited to partner with Park Place Infiniti on this event, because we are committed to going out into the community to provide animal education and meet potential adopters who want to provide forever homes for our animals,” added Williamson, noting that LFF spends time with every potential adopter to help them find the animal that best fits their lifestyle, ensuring the animal will live their best possible life.

“Park Place Infiniti is committed to supporting local charities, and many of our team members who have adopted pets wanted to find a way to support the Little Friends Foundation’s mission of nurturing rescued animals and finding them forever homes,” said Larry Michaels, general manager of Park Place Infiniti. “This classic car show is a fun way to bring the community together to tour some exceptional cars while also learning more about a very important cause, and maybe even find a new addition for their family.”

During the car show, Park Place Infiniti, located at 5605 W. Sahara Ave., will offer free refreshments, including from a local taco food truck that will be on-site.

Churchill the Polar Bear, who has become the Little Friends Foundation’s mascot, will also be at the event. Churchill, who has been diagnosed with a congenital and inoperable heart defect, has become popular locally via his Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/ChurchillThePolarBear) page that chronicles his bucket list.
