Oh the Humanities - Our United States Government Can’t Agree

Our United States government can’t agree on a budget, equal rights, gun control and even the weather, so why should we leave our medical care in their hands.

PHOENIX - March 28, 2013 - PRLog -- The bedroom was colder than ice and death was walking through it.  It laughs and cries as the room grew sad and sad by the second.  The people are wearing their death clothes as a precious jewel transforms.

The precious jewel; an older woman; who lived a life of wonder and regret.  She raised her children to be pillars in the community and stars in an elite social circle.  She helped raise three grandchildren and tried to teach them the ways of the real world.

She was a rock for her friends and a traveler of many lands.  Now, she’s awaits to travel to the next destination with new friends. An exotic paradise of her heart’s desire, but she needs help to secure the ticket.

The woman stares at Death, but Death can’t do a thing but wait until the soul hops on the plane.  The old woman wants to cry out for relief, but Relief is nowhere to be found.  She wants to go, but the soul is fighting a tough. Her body jumps and her breathing slow, it seems the fight is almost over.

As her body fights, she thinks about what her granddaughter told her.  Her granddaughter’s voice is like a beautiful sunset in the Arizona sky. The old woman's is reminded of her life and gives her a glimpse of paradise.

With one breath, Death’s work is done, and the old woman is no more.

This is a story about my grandmother’s death.  I am the granddaughter’s voice.  I gave my grandmother a mercy killing.  No, I did not give her medication or put a pillow over her mouth.  I encourage her to died over the phone and it was the most painful thing I have done.

I don’t believe in heaven or hell, but I do believe in euthanasia for humans.  It’s a humane way to die.

I do believe, it’s our right to end our lives if we choose that path.  If a person is suffering, let them die.  When our pets are too sick to live, we send them to the vet so the vet can give our pets the kiss of death and we don’t even think about how horrible it is; but when it comes to human life than it’s a sin to even discuss it.

Assisted suicide and suicide is different.  Suicide is caused because you just end your life over a bad day, a love life that went wrong or over a mental condition; just to name a few reasons.  Assisted suicide is when your health and body has deteriorated to a point of no return or your soul is a prisoner in its own body trying to make an escape.

Our United States government can’t agree on a budget, equal rights, gun control and even the weather, so why should we leave our medical care in their hands. Why give the government the authority to choose whether we can live or die?  Why give the our government the authority to choose our fate for us? We need to look into the issue of assisted suicide and have the right to choose it or not.  It’s our body, our life and our fate.

“Mercy Me – Deadly Profession” , is an animated show based on assisted suicide from the doctor’s point of view.  Dr. Mercy Bachachille is a complex and conflicted medical doctor who performs assisted suicides for a living as she faces her own demons and morals after the death of her grandmother.  It shows doctors who perform assisted suicide; not murders and monsters, but passionate people who want to give their patients the best medical care.

“Mercy Me – Deadly Profession” , gives assisted suicide a voice with humor, drama, romance, passion and entertainment value, but the message is about the pros and cons of social issue on many levels.

“Mercy Me – Deadly Profession” , is seeking funding, sponsorship and distribution so it can be seen on the web or television.
