Lybethras Adds Glam to Swimwear

March 28, 2013 - PRLog -- Brazilian swimwear brand Lybethras was featured in Sports Illustrated for the fifth consecutive year recently, with Michelle Jenneke modeling. Jenneke, an Australian Olympic athlete (Hurdling) came to the public attention last year. Videos of Jenneke went viral after she was filmed during her hip-loosening pre-race warm-up.

“Its amazing” to have Jenneke modeling our swimwear, Lybethras CEO Luciana Martinez said, “she’s a wonderful girl and we are very proud to have our swimwear modeled by her.”

Lybethras’s 2013 collection includes both solids (black, brown, tangerine, azure, blues, and naturals, etc.) and prints, from paisley to striped animal skin. “I love nature,” says Martinez, “and most of our prints have a bit of nature, such as animals or plants.”

The 2013 collection is designed for women to mix and match, Martinez says. By mixing a solid colored with a printed top or bottom, she says, “you can create your unique swimwear outfit. We love individuals expressing themselves.”

The brand, Martinez says, was “created to add glam to beachwear. Most of the tops and one pieces could be worn to go to a party. We also have one pieces with sleeves that can be removed when you’re on the beach, but that are great for socializing.”

The brand, which specializes in swim for the fuller figure, is especially popular in the USA, Brazil and the Caribbean Islands, although it has a growing audience worldwide. “American women love our cut,” Martinez says, “because it’s not as skimpy as traditional Brazilian, but looks Brazilian compared with the usual, more covered swimwear cut.”
