Follow on Google News | Tough Tracker Ltd reaches the finals of the Energy and Innovation Awards 2013Organised by the Energy Innovation Centre, the awards celebrate pioneering companies and organisations working to develop products and services to benefit the energy sector. The EIC has had a record number of entries this year from all over the country and the globe which makes this nomination all the more exceptional for Tough Tracker. Tough Tracker are manufacturers of GPS tracking devices and have invented the first armoured and tamper proof tracking and asset management solution. Aimed for assets of high value which do not have their own local power supply the Tough Tracker was originally created to prevent the theft of waste metal recycling bins. Due to the harsh environment of the waste management industry the product was designed to withstand highly adverse operating conditions. It is the only asset management solution which is not housed in a primarily plastic casing but is protected by patented armoured case technology. Tough Tracker’s unique approach has created ripples in the Energy and Recycling Sectors and the EIC has recognised them as an innovative security device. Founder and inventor James Bryan says “We are immensely proud to be shortlisted for the award, especially as we are a newcomer to the industry only launching the product to market last autumn”. The awards take place on the 25th of April at The Radisson Edwardian, Manchester. Information on the Awards: www.energyinnovationcentre.com/ Information on Tough Tracker: www.toughtracker.com End
