KLNE announces a joint venture to make a range of grid-tied in India
By: Beijing Kinglong New Energy Technology Company
The focus of the company will be the manufacture, distribution and sale of grid-tied photovoltaic inverters in the fast growing Indian market. The PV market in the country is growing at a fast rate spurred by government support.
The new company will be based in Singapore with manufacturing facilities in Chennai, India and service facilities throughout the country. Clients will be able to order units either through the Singapore office or by contacting the sales office in Chennai.
“We have been looking at the India market for quite a while and have decided that it is far better to manufacture inverters for the Indian market in India with a partner” said Paul Nicholson, KLNE’s sales director. “We looked at a few different options and decided on a joint venture with OMG as the best way forward. They are an excellent partner for us and we expect a long and fruitful co-operation between our two companies.”
Narendra R.H. a director of OMG Energy Capital Management said “We have been watching the PV market for some time and we know that a locally manufactured product would be a winner. Our joint venture with KLNE will give us that product.”
OMG has experience in assembly and manufacture of electrical and electronic products and is ideally placed to enter and service the expanding Indian market. With its experienced management and good local knowledge of the regulations surrounding the PV market, the company expects an excellent 2013 for the range of products.
