Auxilium Instructor Speaks at 2013 Sigma Tau Convention

March 26, 2013 - PRLog -- When she's not busy helping engineers communicate effectively, Auxilium instructor Susan de la Vergne spends time encouraging liberal arts majors to pursue careers in business. Last week, she addressed the annual convention of Sigma Tau Delta (English Honors society), telling an audience of English majors that “Nothing Prepares You for Business Leadership Like the Liberal Arts”!

Afterwards students stopped by to shake hands and express their gratitude.

“Wow, I knew I was ready to do professional work, but you really told me how!”

“I’m so glad to learn how my analytical skills can serve industry.”

"That was great! I'm ready to graduate now!"

Conference organizer, Dr. Gloria Hochstein, expressed her enthusiasm for Susan’s subject. “These students really need the information you provide!”

The annual conference was held this year in Portland, Oregon, at the downtown Hilton Hotel. The featured keynote speaker at the conference was science fiction author Ursula Le Guin, a long-time Portland resident.
