Groceries for Needy Kids Pantai Hospital

March 25, 2013 - PRLog -- The items comprising groceries and other things was warmly received by Rev James Krishnan, a senior pastor who is the caretaker of Calvary Care Home.

The children greeted the PHAK team with much cheer and were excited to receive goodie bags and red packets from the hospital.

After the gift distribution, children were then treated to lunch.

This event was led by PHAK chief executive officer, Gan Kong Hoe.

"We are pleased to be granted the opportunity to do our part in the community to support charitable organisations such as Calvary Care Home in any way possible, as these deprived children need a combined effort to prepare them to face the challenges of life ahead.

"This Chinese New Year, we hope that the children will be able to enjoy this special treat that will allow them to feel loved and cared for," said Gan.

James expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the continuous support the home has received from PHAK over the years. "The items and donations that we have received from Pantai Hospital Ayer Keroh are helpful in continuing to sustain the daily needs of the children.

"These children have come to us in need of shelter, food, clothing, education and love and we want to help them.

"We are blessed to have the support from the community.

"We would like to thank you for taking the time to shower our children with love and kindness," commented James.

Calvary Care Home is a home for orphans and neglected, abandoned and abused children.

The Home was set up in 1999 out of a deep conviction to meet the needs of destitute children.

The objective of the home is to provide the children with proper nutrition, guidance in education and physical skills to make them productive members of society.
