The first four chapters fed my expectation that I would read about how the Methodists came to Virginia. Then, I read about the pirates of Edenton and I'm still studying that to see if that part of the story is true, like the Methodist part seems to be. This writer was pretty good at creating some romantic steam too, but with good taste. I can't wait to get the second book in the series!
