WORCESTER, Mass. - March 22, 2013 - PRLog -- Mark Lund executive producer, director and writer, is pleased to announce that the world premiere for Justice Is Mind will take place at The Palace Theatre in Albany, New York on August 18, 2013. Independently produced with a cast and crew from New York, Massachusetts, Vermont, Connecticut and New Hampshire, Justice Is Mind centers on the first criminal trial in which a defendant faces his own memory obtained from a new type of MRI process that reads memory in video form.

“I could not be more excited to premiere Justice Is Mind at The Palace Theatre,” said Lund. “It’s truly an honor to be invited by the organizers of Inspiration Week to present this story and showcase the work of so many involved in the production.”

In Justice Is Mind businessman and restaurant owner Henri Miller has been afflicted with unexplained headaches since childhood that have increased in intensity into adulthood. When he has the new FVMRI procedure and it reveals that he has allegedly shot and killed two people on his property, the trial of the century begins in which Miller is faced with his own memory at trial. But all is not as it seems as a dark family secret held by Henri’s minister father Joseph reveals itself during the trial.

Justice Is Mind [http://www.justiceismind.com/] stars Vernon Aldershoff (Henri Miller), Robin Ann Rapoport (Margaret Miller), Paul Lussier (John Darrow) and Kim Gordon (Constance Smith). Co-starring Richard Sewell (Joseph Miller), Michele Mortensen (Maria Miller), Carlyne Fournier (Dr. Eve Pullman), Dmitri Aldershoff (Gary Miller), Chara Gannett (Nancy Miller), Mary Wexler (Judge Wagner), Jesse Mangan (Brian Kovski) and Steven Scott (Police Detective). Justice Is Mind wrapped principal photography on October 13 and includes a cast of over 120 actors.

“Be careful what you allow your mind to create. It could be used against you! It seems fitting to premiere Justice Is Mind in the Capital District where MRI technology was created by Schenectady’s General Electric back in the 1980’s,” said Inspiration Week creator and Schenectady Film Commissioner Don Rittner. “Justice Is Mind will be a great compliment to another film being shown during Inspiration Week - Pulse, a classic 1988 sci-fi film by writer/director Paul Golding also about technology going awry. We are always looking to premiere films that push the envelope, and Justice Is Mind will have people thinking and talking about the issue of who owns our thoughts for a long time.”

In additional release developments, Justice Is Mind has partnered with The Association of Media and Entertainment Counsel [http://www.theamec.com/] to facilitate screenings at law schools throughout the United States. The deal was secured by Lund’s longtime entertainment attorney Arnold Peter of  the Peter Law Group in Beverly Hills, California.

“We are delighted to support this exciting courtroom thriller that deals with an important public policy issue in a most compelling and entertaining way,” said Arnold Peter, founding partner and attorney, The Peter Law Group.

Screening times and ticket information will be released at a later date. After the screening there will be a Q&A with director Mark Lund, select actors from the film as well as legal and scientific experts discussing the real world prospects of mind reading technology.
