-- While Google has made public the decision not to announce updates publicly through official channels, recent reports indicate that updates have already been made.
In the future, information about Google panda updates will simply be added into the firm's indexing process.
Previously, the company made public announcements about its updates through official channels. SEO experts and other internet users could get information from Twitter feeds, among other social networking sites. According to Google's Matt Cutts, the most recent update will come into effect before March 18th, but SEO experts, marketers and internet users will have to figure it out on their own.
Matt Cutts also stated that in the future, Google panda updates will be more subtle than previous versions as changes become easier to incorporate into the algorithm of the search engine.
In the past, Google panda updates were released every thirty dates. SEO firms and webmasters can take this as a clue as to when the next update may be made, so as to stay in touch with changes in the world's greatest search engine.
Panda marked its second anniversary in February 2013. The first update was made to deal with spam-filled sites. The main idea behind the first update was to lower the rankings of sites that used sneaky forms of marketing or advertising. Subsequent updates have done much to increase the sophistication of this search engine, keeping website owners and SEO firms on their toes!
