Kathryn Ort Presents “Kids Eat Right Healthy Snacking” at Meredith College

RALEIGH, N.C. - March 18, 2013 - PRLog -- Raleigh, N.C. (March 7, 2013) – Kathryn Ort, RD, LDN, and employee of Healthy Diets, Inc., a private nutrition practice that specializes in one-on-one nutrition counseling, group counseling, and corporate wellness programs, was recently selected by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics as one of their Healthy Snacking Mini-Grantees. A Mini-Grantee receives $200 to lead two presentations from any of the Kids Eat Right toolkits provided to them.

As a Mini-Grantee, she was invited to perform a Kids Eat Right Healthy Snacking presentation at Meredith College.

“It was a wonderful opportunity to provide athletes and coaches information on fueling for exercise,” says Kathryn.

Ort is a Registered Dietitian and a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics formerly known as the American Dietetic Association.  She also recently moved to Meredith’s campus, as part of the new partnership between Healthy Diets and Meredith College to provide students with a resource for expert nutrition information
