Tiffany Elementary Shred-A-Thon & Free E-Waste Drop Off

Chula Vista, Calif. – A Shred-a-Thon and Free E-Waste Drop Off will be hosted by Tiffany Elementary School on Saturday, March 23, 2013 from 10 am to 2 pm at Tiffany Elementary School, located at 1691 Elmhurst St, Chula Vista, CA 91913.

CHULA VISTA, Calif. - March 18, 2013 - PRLog -- Participants are encouraged to bring confidential documents for shredding by NAID certified Proshred Security.  Computer hard drive removal and destruction is also available from Proshred ($20 to remove from computer and destroy, $10 to destroy a hard drive that has been removed from the computer).  To support Tiffany Elementary School and I Love A Green San Diego, there is a recommended donation of $5 per copy box/bag or $20 for 5 boxes/bags for document shredding.  

The E-Waste drop off is FREE to everyone.  Bring items such as CRT screens, LCD/LED screens plasma screens, TV’s, printers, copiers, fax machines, scanners, computers, laptops, monitors, cell phones, VCR’s, DVD players, stereo systems, network servers, speakers, telephones, lamps, servers, server racks, plotters, batteries (automotive), power cords, cables, and strips.  Items NOT ACCEPTED at the event is: appliances, microwaves, lamp bulbs, alkaline batteries and hazardous waste.    

This event is sponsored by PROSHRED® Security, a locally based company that specialized in secure document shredding and computer hard drive destruction, I Love A Green San Diego, a local non-profit that specializes in environmental education and E-World Recyclers an R2/RIOS certified electronics waste recycler.  All companies have partnered with Tiffany Elementary School to provide this valuable service to the community.
