Young Couple Launch News and Review Website For Dog Owners

GRAVESEND, U.K. - March 18, 2013 - PRLog -- My Dog Loves [www.mydogloves.co.uk] is a review, news and advice website run by dog owners for dog owners.  The site was created by Simon Cornelius and Lucy Hamshare after their dog went missing for four nights in November 2012. An online campaign was launched to find their dog, and the couple were overwhelmed with the support and advice received by dog owners worldwide who reached out to help. That experience compelled them to give something back to the dog owning community, and the couple came up with the idea of My Dog Loves.

Simon Cornelius, co-founder, stated: “As a dog owner, I have always liked to speak to other dog owners to get their recommendations on different types of products. It’s always difficult to know what to buy and whether it will be good value for money. By publishing our reviews on My Dog Loves we will be creating a handy online directory packed full of useful and honest reviews.

The site publishes reviews using a unique rating system. Products and experiences are given a gold, silver or bronze ‘Paw of Approval’ depending on the overall score. This, the couple say, will help users to get an overall impression of the product or experience being reviews.

Lucy Hamshare, co-founder of the site said “We called the website ‘My Dog Loves’ because we’ve found that dogs love absolutely everything! Whether it’s going for a walk, treats, toys, you name it, dogs love it. Our website is therefore categorised into themes and we will add reviews of products and experiences that we test with Bentley, our Rough Collie”

The couple, who live in Kent with Bentley, their 2 year old male Rough Collie, have stated that they want the site to offer personal insights into different products and experiences. This, they hope, will present other dog owners with honest and useful reviews on a variety of different topics.

The website will also provide information about walking routes and dog-friendly pubs and venues in the South East area where the couple is based. Eventually the website will be expanded to cover dog-friendly attractions and places throughout the whole of the UK.
