SHREWSBURY, U.K. - March 14, 2013 - PRLog -- It's arguably one of the biggest months in the fashion calendar when designers in New York, London, Paris and Milan give us a taste of what we will be wearing come autumn and winter. In fact what we have just seen on the 300 or so runways will be in the shops from August - so if you want to get ahead of the fashion game what should you be wearing? Well here's MizEllie's guide to some of the key fashion trends from the four major fashion weeks so you can get ahead of the fashion curve.

This autumn/winter it was all about, to quote Vogue - "attitude and Spirit" with punk looks and androgynous dressing all making their mark on the catwalk. However, there was also an air of nostalgia with designers referencing past collections and reworking them for 2013.

While it seems that next winter we will be channelling Hitchcock heroines as the ultimate fashion muse. Femme Fatales sizzled on the catwalks of Jonathan Saunders, Erdem, Temperley London, Antipodium ,Gucci and Prada, Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton, Loewe, Ermanno Scervino and Bottega Veneta. So think sexy sixties siren's with an elegant twist – with lots of tweeds and pencil skirts. While edgier fashionista's will be going for the punk look seen at Preen, Holly Fulton, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Julien Macdonald, Rodarte, Topshop Unique, Givenchy, McQ Alexander McQueen, Saint Laurent, Junya Watanabe and Versace so either go tough or ladylike (or of course you could mix it up!) Whatever, the show though the looks seemed to be all about wearable pieces that could easily look as good on the street as they do on the runway.

When it comes to accessories a key look has to scarves for women (http://www.mizellie.co.uk/). At New York Fashion week J-Crew (which is one of Michelle Obama's favourite lines) showed off gorgeous scarves in a variety of prints – including a lust after piece in dogtooth! While in Paris Miu Miu sent its models down the runway in chic polka dot silk scarves tied at the neck, which almost had an air hostess feel about them. While on home turf in London, Jonathan Saunders had scarves in pretty florals teamed with classic blazers and Temperley matched sheer blouses with silk scarves (http://www.mizellie.co.uk/) and checked wool coats all in a classic palette of cream, navy and cobalt blue.  However, at Milan it was all about fur so a number of shows had scarves for women (http://www.mizellie.co.uk/) in the fabric (but the look can be easily achieved with faux fur).
