Delray Beach – March 12, 2013 – After successful event partnerships with Crane’s BeachHouse & Tiki Bar, Patio Delray, the Sandoway House Nature Center and The Colony Hotel, the Spady Cultural Heritage Museum is now joining forces with Kevro’s Art Bar for a new musical event, showcasing three distinct talents.

The new Spady Museum Singer/Songwriter Showcase will feature live performances by Stephen Minotti, Brian J. Cline and Pearl Pop. Music lovers are invited to enjoy the Showcase, while supporting a cultural resource. Suggestion donation for the event is $10.

The event will be held at 6 p.m., Sunday, March 24, at Kevro’s Art Bar, 166 SE 2nd Avenue, Delray Beach. For more information, call the Spady Museum at 561-279-8883 or visit Kevro’s website at www.kevroart.com.

Hosted by Steve Martel and Max DuBose, the Singer/Songwriter Showcase seeks to combine art, cultural history and music into one experience that multiple audiences can share. The museum will display its portable photographic exhibit on African-American pioneers, and the following musicians will take the stages:

- Stephen Minotti: Steve started performing and captivating audiences at the age of 17. He has played coffee houses and barrooms to festival and concert venues all over Florida. Influenced by some of the greatest singer-songwriters of the ‘60s and ‘70s, like Buddy Holly, Bob Dylan, James Taylor and Cat Stevens, Stephen delivers soulful singing accompanied by acoustic guitar.
- Brian Jay Cline: Brian Jay came of age in Las Vegas, Nevada, but now lives in Florida, performing his special blend of alternative, country and pop rock. He has shared the stage with national acts such as Chris Isaac, The Smithereens, Rick Springfield and The Killers.
- Pearl Pop: Pearl is a bluesy songbird with a beautiful voice and natural gifts for engaging people. Hailing from Deerfield Beach, she is also a talented and versatile guitarist, who is influenced by artists ranging from The Beatles and Jimmie Hendrix to Bob Marley and Etta James.

As the only cultural center in Palm Beach County dedicated to the artistic contributions of African-, Haitian- and Caribbean-Americans, the Spady Museum is always seeking ways to partner with venues and organizations that help it further its mission of education and history.

“Music is the lifeblood of any cultural experience,” said Charlene Jones, director of the Spady Museum. “Our current exhibit on African artifacts includes drums and other musical instruments because music, art and literature are constants through all cultures. By partnering with Kevro’s, we have an opportunity to celebrate music, expand our mission and have a lot of fun in the process. Kevro’s is a fun, hip gem that we are excited to be a part of!”
