GA Music Awards Adds Latin Category to Show

ATLANTA - March 13, 2013 - PRLog -- ATLANTA – Adding a category to an awards show seems like an easy thing to do, and in the case of the GA Music Awards, it is. The 2013 GA Music Awards, scheduled for June 8 at the historic Buckhead Theatre, has added a Latin category to the nominations in only its' second year due to the high volume of requests during the first year of the show, and is looking forward to working with artists and industry professionals who perform and work in that category.

“Our team at La Mega 96.5 us very excited to be the official Latin station for the Latin category at the GA Music Awards this year,” states Karen Michelle, “We decided to help the GA Music Awards and provide an opportunity to our Latin artists in Georgia so they can be recognized for their talent and hard work. We appreciate the partnership we are creating with the GA Music Awards to achieve this.”

Nominations for all categories can be made at www.georgiamusicawards.com, with the only criteria being the artists nominated be living and performing in Georgia. Adding a Latin category isn’t the only addition to the show this year. In response to a variety of requests, the GA Music Awards is offering for the first time label packages to encourage labels to participate in the show and meet the next generation of artists. The GA Music Awards is still looking for sponsors and partners to increase show participation in its’ second year, after setting the bar very high the first year.

Tickets for the June 8th GA Music Awards are available for purchase through TicketMaster. Held at the Buckhead Theatre, the red carpet event promises to add glam to the weekend.
