ATLANTA - March 13, 2013 - PRLog -- ScottMadden Inc., one of North American’s leading energy consulting firms, will conduct its “State of the Industry” webcast on March 27. Registration for this event is free, but space is limited. If you have not yet registered, please click here (https://www1.gotomeeting.com/register/767445185).

Originally slated for March 8, the webcast was rescheduled due to technical difficulties. Early indications are that Energy Central’s provider experienced an unusual server failure.

The one thousand participants who registered for the March 8 event will automatically be registered for the March 27 session. Both attendee and registration links will remain the same. Any registrants who did not receive updated access instructions should contact Energy Central’s PJ Davis (mailto:pj@energycentral.com) directly.

If you are unable to participate during the live session, the webcast deck and session replay will be archived on ScottMadden’s web site indefinitely beginning Thursday, March 28, 2013.

Stu Pearman, partner and energy practice leader at ScottMadden, said, “We are sorry for the inconvenience to those who registered for March 8 and hope you can join us on March 27 for this webinar. We are looking forward to a great webcast.”

The webcast will be based on ScottMadden’s recently released Energy Industry Update (http://www.scottmadden.com/insight/605/The-Energy-Industr...), a semi-annual publication featuring our view of recent significant events and emerging trends that is received by almost 8,000 industry leaders. During this 60-minute session, ScottMadden experts will elaborate on major industry issues including the latest prognosis for coal-fired generation, the outlook for natural gas in the United States, and the growing interdependence of the gas and power industries.

The ScottMadden panelists will consist of: Ed Baker, partner and natural gas practice leader; Cristin Lyons, partner and transmission, distribution, and Smart Grid practice leader; Todd Williams, partner and fossil generation practice co-leader; and Greg Litra, partner and energy, clean tech, and sustainability research leader. Mr. Pearman will serve as the webcast moderator.

For 30 years, ScottMadden has been a leader in energy consulting, serving more than 200 energy organizations, including 20 of the top 20 energy utilities. ScottMadden has completed thousands of successful projects and provides practical expertise in nuclear, fossil, renewables, transmission, distribution, Smart Grid, gas, regulatory, and a host of other areas.
