Follow on Google News | SKF ChainLube cuts lubrication costs by 85%SKF, the knowledge engineering company, has launched SKF ChainLube, an airless oil projection system that can cut lubrication costs by as much as 85%.
By: 4 C M SKF ChainLube is a contact-free lubrication system, supporting the HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) process in safe food production. Since it requires no contact with the chain, SKF ChainLube minimises the accumulation of dirt that results in bacteriological risks, and eliminates wear of lubrication system components. Stainless steel components such as nozzles and sensors further enhance the capability of SKF ChainLube to meet hygiene-critical requirements. SKF ChainLube can also cope with both high and low temperatures: Based on SKF customer estimates, a previous lubricant consumption of 20 litres per week can be reduced to 3 litres, making a total saving of 884 litres per year.
