March 31, 2013 is Easter Sunday. “Jesus Christ rose from the dead three days after being put into the tomb. This is why we celebrate Easter or some call it Resurrection Sunday,” said Ricky Sinclair (http://www.rickysinclair.com). This is significant for those who believe on Jesus to know that their Savior is alive.

One difference between Christianity and other beliefs is that Christians believe and serve a God that is alive and interceding on their behalf. Christians don't have to bow down before an idol that does nothing or make sure they are praying at a specific time. Instead, there is freedom to have a relationship with God the Father. A relationship takes two involved to participate. Jesus Christ actually is involved with the relationship and actually works on behalf of His believers. Romans 8:34 states, "Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died--more than that, who was raised to life--is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us." What more could you ask for.

Ricky Sinclair says “Easter is a time of celebration!” The fact that Jesus rose from the dead should be enough for anyone to shout for joy. When a person goes to court they have a lawyer who acts on their behalf, regardless of them being guilty or not. The lawyer's job is to get the individual out of trouble. Well Jesus is sitting at the right hand of the Father interceding on our behalf, in order that God may show mercy on us in hopes that we will surrender our life over to God. This does not give us permission to sin, instead should give us a desire to strive to be more Christ like.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.", John 3:16. In sending His only son, God already knew that Jesus would have to die on the cross for our sins. "He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.", Romans 4:25. Jesus died on the cross in order that we may have a chance to be in heaven with God for eternity. He died because there is no way that anyone could live a life perfect enough to get to heaven on their own. God's desire for us is to know Him and be with Him in eternity. He knows that we will have trouble on Earth but wants to us to realize that He is there and all we have to do His call on the name of Jesus. It is as simple as trusting and believing that Jesus Christ came to earth, died on the cross, and rose on the third day in order that we may be saved. This is not just a call for help card though, it is about the relationship. Jesus wants you to spend time with Him. He wants to talk to you in your prayer life. he want to make the Bible come alive and pertain to your daily living. he wants all of you surrendered, which means you can't hold onto the part of life that is displeasing to God.

Again, Easter is a celebration. Everyone who believe can take part and understand the celebration of Jesus Christ rising from the dead. March 30, 2013, Miracle Place Church (http://www.miracleplacechurch.org) will be having its yearly Spring Family Festival.
