PRLog -- The Cahersiveen Festival of Music and the Arts, or The Celtic Music festival as it is also known as, takes place annually on the August Bank holiday. The South-Kerry town comes alive every year in an explosion of music, entertainment and culture. The Cahersiveen Festival has been running now for 17 years and this year’s promises to be the best one yet. As always the festival is a family affair with lots to do for all ages. Some of the more prominent attractions of the festival include an abundance of street entertainment, live music, tractor pulling and face painting. There will also be a fun fair in Cahersiveen over the three days which is sure to keep the kids happy. We recommend a stay at http://www.avocalodge.com
The festival revolves around music and is made special by the diverse wealth of talent that takes to the stage every year. As always there is a great blend of musical genres ranging from traditional and country to current and pop music. The concerts are open air events that take place on the main stage in the centre of the town. Last year had a great selection of bands performing including Royseven. This year the Festival organisers hope to take things a step further with an even more impressive line-up including, Mundy, Ryan Sheridan and Two Time Polka. All open air events are free for all the family to enjoy. Support for the festival can be shown by purchasing a wristband.
The Cahersiveen Festival of Music and the Arts is the highlight of the South-Kerry events calendar and is definitely not to be missed. The festival will take place this year from the 2nd to the 4th of August 2013. The town tends to be busy during this weekend so it is recommended that you book your accommodation early to avoid disappointment.
