Accept Credit Cards by Phone and Merchant

Accept By Phone Company is compared to other companies within this article. From different fees to contracts - we will show you who and what is better.

COLUMBUS, Ohio - March 10, 2013 - PRLog -- Accept by Phone is one of the best ways to charge clients or customer’s credit cards by cell phone – and also, one of the most affordable.  Within this article, we will compare other credit card processing companies as far as cost with Accept by Phone.

Let’s start with cost per month and then by year.  Every credit card processing company (usually the ones that charges by personal cell phone) cost something per transaction and then on top of that, they will charge an application fee, transaction fee (which I personally think is ridicules), monthly statement (also pathetic) and a lot more.

Let’s break this down and see what the average company is charging compared to Accept by Phone.  Before we start with anything, we realize each and every credit card processing business has a reason why they charge on particular fees.   Also, at this time of writing, the rest of this article has many fee averages charged by companies…more than likely, they will be going up in the future – they always do.

Starting with a monthly statement, most companies, on average, charge around eight to ten dollars per month.  I personally think this is crazy.  Does a bank charge you for their monthly statement of your checking account?  The answer is no.  When you see a company charging for a simple monthly statement, you really have to ask yourself – are they worth it?

When it comes to terminal / equipment lease, companies usually charge around thirty bucks per month.  I can totally understand this.  It cost to make a card reader and they do have to make a profit on it.  So I do think that is reasonable to me.  Maybe you have a different opinion.

The cancellation fee for the average company will cost nothing or up to $250.  This fee, basically has been around for the longest time for any type of business.  So I’m not surprised that it could cost some money.  However, if it cost more than $100, I think the company is ripping its customer off.  However, if you are in a contract with a company and you are breaking it off, then that’s a different story.  You are breaking a contract and your company can charge you – so always be careful what kind of credit card processing company you are getting before climbing on board with them.

There always seems to be an annual fee.  They can vary from $30 to $100 per year or more.  I don’t agree with annual fees, but most items like credit cards have them.  It’s just part of business.
The application fee.  No matter what type of contract you are going into with – to get the ball rolling, companies usually charge from $50 to over $110.  My thoughts on this is that it’s another way for the credit card processing company to make money off of you.  You might as well accept it.  I remember when I changed my cable company last year, I had to pay for an application fee – so this is about as normal as breathing when it comes dealing in the business world.

The one time setup fee.  Ah yes, one of my favorites.  They average out to $0 to $150.  If you don’t have to pay anything for a setup fee, these companies usually tell you to “act now and your setup fee will be waived”.  False!  These companies had this planned and are trying to get feel like you are getting a great deal.

Now you take all these little extra fees that  the average credit card processing companies (that accept client’s credit / debit cards) charge their customers and compare it to Accept By Phone:  All fees are $0! That’s right, you pay nothing.  There some other fees as well such as PCI Compliance fee and Monthly Minimum fee which will cost you something – but at Accept by Phone – you still pay nothing.

Now that you understand that Accept by Phone is very affordable – let’s look at what they do charge, that way you won’t be in the dark.  This great “Accept credit cards by phones” type of company, has a 2.69% rate for swiped sales and when it comes to regular Card Not Present Sales, they charge 3.49% + .19 cents per transaction.  This is very affordable and is kept that way for small business people – and big clients like it as well.

Now let’s talk about you charging a client over $1,000.  There is a very popular credit card processing company out there that everyone has heard of (I’m not going to say who it is).  From what I’ve read other people complain about, anytime that you sell something or service to a customer that cost over $1,000, this particular company will not put YOUR money in YOUR account for 30 days.  With “Accept By Phone”, money (no matter what the amount) is deposited into your bank account within 24 – 72 hours.  Now that is excluding weekends and holidays – but that is pretty much the norm.

When you go with Accept By Phone, there are no contracts.  You can cancel on them anytime you want without a cancellation fee.  Also, as far as who this service is perfect for, attorneys, moving companies, and craft show owners all use this service and love it.  However, I want to note that it isn’t limited to just them, but basically anyone that has a small business.  Also, Accept By Phone is flexible with medium to large size companies.
