Crossword Puzzle Enthusiast Michael E. Broderick Steps On Stage for the GingerNewYork TV Show, NYC

NEW YORK - Aug. 10, 2013 - PRLog -- Michael E. Broderick is the son of Eugene and Ethel Broderick and was born in Morrison, Illinois and lived on a farm in rural Whiteside County for the first four years of his life before his family moved to Sterling, Illinois where he has lived throughout his life. He attended Sterling elementary and high schools before completing a business degree at Sauk Valley College. He held a number of jobs, some of which have been that of a newspaper boy (his first), construction worker, busboy, carnival worker, guitar instructor and retail clothes salesman before beginning a railroad career at the age of 21 with the now known Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad. His career at BNSF lasted well over 38 years before his retirment in July, 2012. It was during his railroad career that he developed a shared interest in crossword puzzles, which he enjoyed completing with his work colleagues. Mike shares many additional interests with his wife Crete, including swimming, bicycling, walking, dancing and many family interests. This is his first time entry in the American Crossword Puzzle Tournament. http://www.crosswordtournament.com

Broderick is a faculty member of Queens College/CUNY Continuing Education Program. Broderick obtained a B.S. degree in accounting from St. John’s University in New York City and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of New York.
