Pure Indian Foods Supports Community Education through Service to Rutgers University Students
Pure Indian Foods, a vendor of traditional organic Indian fare, has a longstanding partnership with nutrition and business information classes at Rutgers University to provide undergraduate students with real-world problem-solving exercises.
As part of each semester-long project at the university, members of the small Pure Indian Foods staff present a production concern or new product for the students to consider. The staff works with the students, answering their questions and challenging their thinking about food production, marketing and distribution.

The students ate samples of jaggery and devised various applications for the product, including cutting jaggery into cubes for use in preparing coffee and tea. Some students even baked cookies with jaggery (http://www.pureindianfoods.com/
