“Our conference could not come at a better time for the postal service or the many people and companies it serves. Fresh off the heels of yet another announcement that the USPS will need to cut back on service to recoup costs, we’re at a precipice of action regarding the future of this national institution,” said John Callan, Managing Director of Ursa Major Associates and PostalVision 2020 conference founder. “It is more important now than ever for our nation’s postal industry leaders to come together to help solve many of the financial and structural challenges currently facing the postal service. Also joining the conference for the first time this year will be Drew Bartkiewicz, Co-founder and CEO of lettrs (https://lettrs.com/); Scott Burns, CEO and Founder of GovDelivery (http://www.govdelivery.com/);  Alex Howard, Government 2.0 Washington Correspondent for O'Reilly Media; (http://radar.oreilly.com/alexh)  and Sascha Meinrath, Vice President of the New America  Foundation and Director of the Open Technology Institute (http://oti.newamerica.net/); who will discuss the issues facing the postal service and possible resolutions from technological and institutional perspectives.  Experts Liam Church, President and CEO of Escher Group (http://www.eschergroup.com/) ; Jonathan Grubin, Entrepreneur and founder of SoPost (https://sopost.com/);  and Robert Reisner, President, Transformation Strategy, Inc (http://transformationstrategy.com/about/);  will bring a global view of postal and delivery systems to the two day conference.

Several professors at leading universities, including Hon. A. Lee Fritschler, Professor, School of Public Policy, George Mason University; Richard John, Professor, Columbia University School of Journalism; and Judith Resnik, Arthur Liman Professor of Law at Yale Law School; will share academic points of view on the current and historical postal ecosystem.
