Prominent Hungarian Artist Attila JK Brings His Art To South Florida

Hungarian born and raised, the expressionist Attila JK has relocated to South Florida.

He brings with him a treasury of outstanding emotional abstracts realized both in painting and bronze sculpture.  Acclaimed in Budapest since 2005, Attila has exhibited his works in solo and group exhibitions, public embassies, museums and private collections throughout Europe.

The critic Csaba Kozak writes (in translation):

“The art of Attila JK is an homage to the creativity of American abstract expressionist and at the same time an effort to continue and renew that spirit.  

The artist paints with oil on plates of wood-fiber in different sizes.  The works evince a vital dynamism of color, his palette including red, orange, blue, green, yellow and several more shades.  His surfaces are thick – pastose.  He paints with great energy.  He runs and drips paint in swirling formations like the signals from a seismograph or the pulsing of a jungle drum..  These processes, though, are under control. His approach is by instinct and his flourishes from the depth of the heart.

His art invokes the complexity and harmony of the universe, radiating the power of the soul through the microcosm of mortal existence.”

With a vast array of brightly colored canvases and his seminal interpretations in bronze, Attila has chosen Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach as a new base from which to work and exhibit.

It is refreshing to see the imagery and passion that Attila -“The Expressionist” -  is bringing to the art scene.  His European roots will assuredly effloresce in the South Florida sunshine.
