March 8, 2013 - PRLog -- Help is now on hand to assist parents grow plants and food with their children. Kidsinthegarden.co.uk  now a brand new and home grown website launched this week.  It is aimed at families who want to grow their kids and grow their garden at the same time.

The website is helps parents looking for simple gardening projects for their family such as making Easter egg grass heads. It has ideas on outdoor games and kid’s garden activities.  It helps with creating a child friendly garden and growing plants and vegetables with their children.

It has lots of information and ideas on turning gardens into a family friendly space and free resources to inspire kids to play in the garden. It will help children to engage with the outdoors and get them started on gardening and appreciating the natural world.  Next year gardening will become part of the National Curriculum.   However, parents also need help so that gardening and outdoor play can become part of everyday family activity.

“Our garden isn't a perfect playground, we certainly don't spend every waking hour there and sometimes things don't grow” says Lynda Appuhamy creator of the website. ”But it is 'our' garden and has already provided us with loads of happy memories and fun times.  I hope Kidsinthegarden.co.uk will help this apply to other families.

Anya Harris who is an older single mum says “What a lovely idea for a blog and a site.  Am signing up right away!”

One of the best things a parent may ever grow is a gardener!
