March 7, 2013 - PRLog -- Los Angeles, CA–  Comedians Ed Blaze and Nema Williams will continue their national comedy tour this month in Atlanta with a concert to benefit local charities.

“Audiences who want to support a good cause while seeing some great entertainment should come to this show,” says Blaze, a Tanzanian-born comic who has toured nationally to deliver hilarious jokes and entertaining stories about his life in America. “We really want to bring awareness in each city we visit about a local charity that really helps the community. This is our way of helping out, and entertaining people along the way.”

The Atlanta show is the most recent in a long line of stops, including Washington DC, Miami, Dallas, San Francisco, Sacramento and more before Williams and Blaze end up closing the summer tour with a stand-up show in Seattle.

“In each city we visit, we want to find a charity that’s the lifeblood of that community, one that really makes an impact, and spotlight that organization through our comedy event,” says Blaze, who has entertained crowds at the D.C. Improv, Howard University, Gotham Club in New York City and many others.

Blaze will donate a portion of the proceeds from each show to that chosen nonprofit charity.

“I’m really excited to participate in this tour, both for the sake of the art and to bring people’s attention to the awesome charitable work that’s happening in their own city,” Williams says.

Williams holds a slew of high-profile comedy credits, including appearances on Showtime’s LOL Comedy Festival, seven times on BET Comic View, Cedric the Entertainer’s “Starting Line Up,” Comic Grove” on Comedy Central, Sean “Puffy” Combs’ “Bay Boys of Comedy” on HBO and STARZ Martin Lawrence Presents First Amendment Standup, to name some.

The Atlanta show takes place at the Punchline Comedy Club at 280 Hilderbrand Drive in NE Atlanta. Start times are 7:30 and 9:00 pm on March 21. Tickets cost $20 with a portion of the proceeds going toward the Boys & Girls Club.
