March 6, 2013 - PRLog -- St. Augustine criminal defense law firm Taylor & Taylor recently donated a will for a silent auction in order to help a local school improve its nutrition program for its students. The auction was held in collaboration with the school’s annual 5k run event.

Osceola Elementary School held its 4th Annual 5k Run and Fun event on Feb. 23, which served as a fundraiser for the school’s nutrition and physical activity program. The aim of the program is to provide the school’s students and the community with healthy and positive choices. In addition to the 5k event, additional fundraising activities were held on Feb. 22, including the silent auction. Businesses in the local community were asked to make donations, and Taylor & Taylor provided a will that could be used in the silent auction. The law firm was also listed a sponsor of the event.

The school’s fundraising efforts this year focus on adding additional Fit Equipment to its playground, as well as on providing healthy activities for its students. Last year, the raised funds were used to give scholarships to Girls on the Run, to provide training materials for that program and to provide each grade level with money dedicated to health and nutrition education. Osceola Elementary School, which is located in St. Augustine, has been recognized as a Five Star School by Florida’s Department of Education. It has also received the Golden School Award from the department.

By contributing to the silent auction, Taylor & Taylor shows that it is dedicated to helping improve its local community. The law firm provides aggressive legal representation for individuals who have been accused of crimes throughout St. Augustine and other areas in St. Johns County. The firm’s attorneys work tirelessly to protect their clients’ rights and to provide them with opportunities to properly defend themselves against their accusers.
